Police Chief replies wonderfully to outrageous demands by ‘Young, Gifted and Black Coalition’

Reported by NBC News on January 13, 2015

Madison Police Chief Mike Koval has some strong words to those who penned an open letter accusing his department of bias and contributing to racial disparity in the criminal just system…. The letter was penned by members of the Young, Gifted and Black Coalition. The group has been a driving force behind recent local protests responding to events in Ferguson, New York and Milwaukee…. The group’s open letter, released on Friday, made several demands from the Madison Police Department in regards to community policing, including a line stating: ‘The relationship that we desire to have with the police is simple: no interaction.’ Chief Koval responded, ‘To their edict that we pull out of the neighborhoods: not happening.’… Chief Koval adds, ‘I think that doesn’t begin to address the issue that our neighborhoods are also comprised of victims, of witnesses, of complainants who contrary to what their take is, my take is that when I do community forums, they are begging for the Madison police department to have their presence there….’

Police officer shoots man attacking him with a shovel

;Reported By Deseret News on 2015-01-12

“A Salt Lake police officer … was called to [investigate] a suspicious person [James Barker] approaching homes looking for snow shoveling jobs. The man is believed to be the same person some residents saw looking in car windows the day before, according to police…. During the first minute of the [officer’s body camera] video, the officer asks for Barker’s name, tells him he’s received a couple of complaints and points out that there really isn’t any snow on the walkways for him to shovel…. The officer again asks for his name. It’s at that point, without warning, that Barker’s demeanor changes from calm to aggressive and he screams at the officer, ‘I’m trying to make a living!’…. The body camera video shows Barker taking a step back and raising his shovel before he stepping forward and swinging it at the officer. The video spins as the officer is knocked off of the front porch and onto the ground. Then comes another hit from the shovel while he is on the ground. At this point, the video shows that a portion of the hard plastic shovel has been broken off. The officer can be seen on the ground holding something in his left hand. It’s unclear whether it’s his gun or a two-way radio microphone. Shortly after the latest hit from the shovel, the body camera is apparently damaged and stops recording… Shots were fired right after the body camera stopped recording [, killing Barker]…. The officer suffered fractured bones in his arm and foot during the incident….” [After seeing that cops in France are unarmed, to the detriment of themselves and unarmed citizens, going forward I will include incidents where on-duty law enforcement personnel are able to use firearms to protect themselves or others from violence.]

Why Does the Media Lie About Race to Protect Obama?

Excerpted from an article by Wayne Root, published 1/7/2015 by The Blaze
Why does the media lie about race? Why do they lie to cover-up for Barack Obama? It’s started out as embarrassing and pathetic. But it’s moved onto pure fraud.

Why does the media allow Obama to give press conferences about the handful of black Americans killed by police officers, but never mention the police officers murdered by black criminals? It happens all the time, but Obama never says a word about it.

That’s his prerogative. But it’s the media’s job to question him…to point out the inconsistencies…to call him on the hypocrisy and what looks to both police officers and law-abiding citizens as a dangerous double standard that incites violence against police.

Why does the media allow Obama to call Tea Party activists bad people, violent or radicals…when there is not one instance in history of violence or anyone recommending violence at any Tea Party rally. Yet the same media has video proof of protestors at the anti-police rallies Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder encourage, screaming in unison “What do we want? DEAD COPS.” It’s all on video. Then when police officers are murdered, the media never assigns any blame to the president….

An Unforgivable Offense

Yesterday in France Islamic terrorists struck a cowardly blow to freedom when they massacred 12 unarmed and innocent people, mostly journalists at a French newspaper. Their supposed justification? Because these journalists had used cartoons to lampoon terrorists and to “blaspheme” the so-called prophet Muhammad.

I don’t care if the journalists mocked Muhammad, Allah himself, or the terrorists’ own mothers. Violence against another is never justified by any verbal, printed or caricatured provocation, regardless of how insensitive, crass or supposedly “blasphemous.”

Wintry weather around US brings fatalities, school closings

Reported By Fox News on 2015-01-08

“Dangerously cold air has sent temperatures plummeting into the single digits around the U.S., with wind chills driving them even lower. Throw in the snow some areas are getting and you’ve got a bone chilling mix that may also be super messy…. School districts from the South to the Northeast and Midwest delayed the start of classes or canceled school altogether. Wind-chill readings were at or below zero in such places as Alabama and North Carolina, along with a chunk of the Midwest, the Plains and the Northeast. The wind chill was minus-40 in Saranac Lake in upstate New York on Thursday morning. In northwest Georgia, schools in Catoosa County had a two-hour delayed start on Thursday because of temperatures expected to top out at 27 degrees and dip as low as minus 2 degrees with wind chills….”

History shows how human behavior changes along with climate

Reported By Deseret News on 2015-01-07

“…Something about which everyone can agree is that of course the climate is changing

it always is. And if climate Cassandras are as conscientious as they claim to be about weighing evidence, how do they accommodate historical evidence of enormously consequential episodes of climate change not produced by human activity?…. In the Medieval Warm Period (MWP), from the end of the ninth century to the beginning of the 14th, the Northern Hemisphere was warmer than at any time in the last 8,000 years

for reasons concerning which there is no consensus…. Then, near the end of the MWP, came the severe winters of 1309-1312, when polar bears could walk from Greenland to Iceland on pack ice. In 1315 there was rain for perhaps 155 consecutive days, washing away topsoil. Upwards of half the arable land in much of Europe was gone; cannibalism arrived as parents ate children. Corpses hanging from gallows were devoured…. Human behavior did not cause this climate change. Instead, climate warming caused behavioral change (10 million mouths to feed became 30 million). Then climate cooling caused social changes (rebelliousness and bellicosity) that amplified the consequences of climate, a pattern repeated four centuries later….”
