Greenpeace co-founder: No scientific proof humans are dominant cause of warming climate

“A co-founder of Greenpeace told lawmakers there is no evidence man is contributing to climate change, and said he left the group when it became more interested in politics than the environment. Patrick Moore, a Canadian ecologist and business consultant who was a member of Greenpeace from 1971-86, told members of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee environmental groups like the one he helped establish use faulty computer models and scare tactics in promoting claims man-made gases are heating up the planet….”

On February 18th 2013 a 10-year-old little girl was kidnapped as she walked home from a friend’s house in Springfield, Missouri. A couple days later Hailey Owens’ dead body was found across town in the basement of a fiend’s house, with a gunshot to the head and who knows what other injuries inflicted upon her. [ref]

Craig Michael Wood, a 45-year-old middle-school football coach had snatched Hailey from the street in plain view of neighbors, racing her off to her doom, and to what should without question be his own doom.

Who can reasonably say that Wood shouldn’t get the death penalty?

Nobody.

Homeowner shoots burglar in groin

Police said Miles was shot by a resident of the apartment complex while he was allegedly breaking in through their window….”

“How did global warming discussions end up hinging on what’s happening with polar bears, unverifiable predictions of what will happen in a hundred years, and whether people are “climate deniers” or “global warming cultists?” If this is a scientific topic, why aren’t we spending more time discussing the science involved? Why aren’t we talking about the evidence and the actual data involved? Why aren’t we looking at the predictions that were made and seeing if they match up to the results? If this is such an open and shut case, why are so many people who care about science skeptical? Many Americans have long since thought that the best scientific evidence available suggested that man wasn’t causing any sort of global warming. However, now, we can go even further and suggest that the planet isn’t warming at all….”

Mom defending children fires at home invaders

“A Detroit mother opened fire Monday night when three suspects broke into her home. Surveillance cameras caught it all…. When she heard the door to her home on Woodrow Wilson being kicked in, she immediately warned the three teenage intruders and then opened fire…. One of the teens dropped a handgun on his way out the door. He then tried to get back inside the house a second time, but was again met with gunfire. Once again, he took off and all three were arrested shortly after the incident by Detroit Police….”

Robbery victim rescued by armed off-duty officer

“An off-duty police officer came to the rescue of a robbery victim last night on Houston’s north side, and he ended up killing the suspect….Police Department veteran C. Rodriguez was out of uniform and in his own pickup truck with a passenger when he noticed two men hiding behind a dumpster outside a convenience store. That’s when HPD says the off-duty officer saw the two men jump out and start beating a man who was walking out of the store with groceries. According to police, Rodriguez opened his window and ordered the suspects to stop. Officials said one of them responded by showing his gun and walking toward the officer, so Rodriguez shot him. The wounded suspect ran to a neighboring house where he collapsed and died. Police said they recovered a pistol at the scene. Police arrested the second suspect….”

Alaska sets wind chill record

“Alaska hit its all-time lowest recorded wind chill on Friday. At 3:39 p.m., sensors at Howard Pass in the Brooks Range picked up a wind chill of minus 97 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s calculated from a recorded temperature of minus 42 degrees and a sustained northern wind of 71 mph. A gust also was recorded at 78 mph….” [Darn that global warming! No doubt the alarmists will try to tell us that it’s “man-made climate change”, caused somehow by non-existent global warming. Meanwhile, I defy every single alarmist, scientist or otherwise, to prove that this “record” wind chill is worse than thousands of low wind chills that haven’t been recorded over the centuries. The bottom line? It’s not an anomaly. The climate changes all the time, up and down, cold, hot, stormy, calm, and mankind’s influence is negligible.]

Off-duty officer stops armed man in restaurant

“An off-duty police officer is being called a hero after he confronted an armed suspect who pulled out a gun in a busy restaurant. His valiant efforts may have saved a lot of lives…. Things were fine until suddenly an argument started at the bar. Police say it escalated and a man pulled a loaded gun out and started pointing it at patrons…. That’s when off-duty officer Joe Silva, who was there eating with his family, took action…. Drawing his own weapon, Silva led the man out of the restaurant and managed to take away his weapon, say police. Silva then held the man at gunpoint until more officers arrived and arrested the man. “

Sunday’s incident wasn’t the first time he was robbed.Neighbors of the 76-year-old said criminal activity is becoming commonplace on their street and in their town and are glad the man took action…. The homeowner told them he was exiting the house and walking toward his car when the suspect attempted to fire at him with a stun gun or taser….”
