Green Energy is BS
Hold your oxen just a minute — before you start cussing me for denigrating “green” energy, you might want to read beyond the headline, and beyond this line…
There is some green energy I like.
Hydroelectric is damn good, if you ask me. And fission. You can’t get much greener than nuclear green. And don’t forget about natural gas. Even though it ain’t got no color, it’s more green than coal and oil — especially when it comes from a bovine’s behind.
No Benefit Means No Benefits
The theory behind student loans and grants is that an educated populace improves the social and economic health of a country.
Veteran’s Administration hospitals and programs exist because it makes sense to take care of the health and well-being of the men and women who put their lives on the line to serve and protect our nation.
Grandmother holds burglar at gunpoint

A grandmother of ten fired a warning shot and then held a would-be burglar at gunpoint in her home until police arrived and arrested him. She called police when her back door was kicked in. “I told him I was armed. He kept coming, so I started backing up,” she said. That’s when she fired the warning shot. “You have to be prepared for anything. You don’t get do-overs. You can’t ask for a time out, so you just do what you need to do,” she said. Don’t Feed the Mouth that Bites You
There’s an old saying, not to bite the hand that feeds you. Sound advice, to be sure. Certainly there are lot of people in this country who remember that when they go to the polls.
Of course, as with most things, there is a flip side, another way to look at it: It’s also a really good idea not to feed the mouth that bites you.
If conservatives would only pay heed to the latter advice as well as socialists adhere to the former, perhaps we wouldn’t have had to suffer through a second term of Obama.
Father protects himself and children from two intruders

Let the Homeschoolers Stay
Back in 2008 a German family immigrated to the United States. The Romeike family left Germany because Germany prohibits home schooling, and the parents objected to the mandated school curriculum.
Now the Obama administration is trying to send them back to Germany, where they will be subject to thousands of dollars of fines, face possible prison time, and risk losing custody of their children if they don’t submit [ref].
