Lenin Toppled At Last

Today in Kiev, Ukraine, a statue of Vladimir Lenin was torn down, decapitated, and destroyed by anti-government protesters.

How nice to see a tribute to a devil toppled. The people of the Ukraine know the bitter fruits of Lenin’s Socialist revolution. They lived through the darkness, terror, murder, subjugation and poverty of Communist rule.

Sadly, there are still Lenin admirers and supporters that harbor the fantasy that Lenin’s aims and even his means were somehow righteous.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

What To Do When a Leftist Attempts a Mass Shooting

Recently the satirical Duffel blog posted a fictitious news story about a non-existent government pamphlet titled “What to Do When the Veteran In Your Classroom Attempts a Mass Shooting”. I became aware of this post because I received an email from someone who thought the pamphlet was real. As I read it, I wondered what Barack Obama’s advice might be in a pamphlet about what to do if a leftist (what many of you still call a “liberal”) were to attempt a mass shooting.

So, somewhat tongue in cheek, here it is; I leave it up to the reader to determine what advise Obama and his bureaucrats really would give if they didn’t have to worry about PR:

A Chain Liar

Obama has quit smoking, at least according to Michelle Obama, who in 2011 said that Barack hadn’t had a cigarette in nearly a year.

“It’s been almost a year,” Michelle said back on February 8, 2011 [ref].

I sincerely congratulate President Obama on the significant accomplishment of quitting smoking. There are many people who are never able to kick the habit. Hopefully he’s kicked it for good.

Unfortunately, one habit that Obama hasn’t kicked — and isn’t even trying to kick — is that of lying.

Obama’s Temper Tantrum

Calling in extra people to close down the World War II Memorial is worse than absurd — it is outrageous. We haven’t the money to pay for good things for the American people, but we have the funds to harass freedom loving Americans?

Obama and his cohorts are carefully choosing their targets to make it hurt patriotic Americans, veterans who actually have served and love this Country, and those who would go out of their way to honor these veterans. The Democrats, those represented by Barack  H. Obama have made their intentions obvious in these actions.

Right to Discriminate

“Daddy, where’s mommy?”
“She’ll be home later.”
“But daddy, today’s my birthday! Why isn’t she here?”
“She had to go somewhere, honey.”
“Where did she have to go?”
“Well dear, she had to go to ‘sensitivity training’.”
“What’s that?”
“It’s hard to explain.”
“Why?”
“Well, a while ago at her print shop she told a customer she wouldn’t print something she objected to, and she got in trouble for that.”
“So they made her go somewhere?”
“Yes, to sensitivity training.”
“What does that mean?”
“Well, that’s where the government tries to force you to change your beliefs.”

The inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are not collective rights. They are individual rights.

Old Nancy Pelosi

In an interview on CNN, Nancy Pelosi made the astonishing claim that there is nothing that can be cut from the enormous $4 trillion annual federal budget.

“The cupboard is bare. There’s no more cuts to make,” Pelosi claimed. “It’s really important that people understand that.” [ref]

So, to help Pelosi’s effort to educate people about how bare the cupboard really is, I’ve written a little poem modeled after Old Mother Hubbard….

Obama’s Ever-expanding Enemies List

Back in December of 2012 I wrote an article titled “The IRS and Obama’s Enemies List“, detailing how the Obama administration was using the IRS to attack and intimidate political opponents. It wasn’t long afterwards that the IRS targeting scandal broke.

I could now add dozens of pages of additional damning evidence against Obama and his minions. At some point I may find the time to do that.

For now, I just want to mention one other conservative that the IRS targeted, undoubtedly at the behest of Obama or his aides.

Summarizing the Second Amendment

A mere 27 words, the Second Amendment’s clear meaning and the original intent of its authors and adopters have held up to decades of leftist efforts to eviscerate it, and to eviscerate the U.S. Citizens it protects.

But I guess 27 words was a bit much to publish in a 1,360 page United States history textbook, so the authors and editors felt compelled to cut it down to 15 words. Maybe that would be okay, if only they hadn’t made the lying leftist decision to blatantly disregard the true interpretation of the Second Amendment. [ref, ref]

Faith in Nothing

Perhaps the most famous definition of faith is given by the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Hebrews: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)

Of course Paul is referring to faith in God, and in His Son Jesus Christ. To believe in Them, and in Their promises, requires a measure of faith.

To not believe in God, and to go so far as to deny His existence, that too requires a measure of faith — indeed, a tremendous measure of faith in nothing.

For that is what atheism is: Faith in nothing.

Money Money Manziel

Johnny Manziel played brilliantly in the second half of Texas A&M’s opener against Rice. He is a very talented football player.

But he shouldn’t have been out there.

The NCAA investigated Manziel’s autograph signing, supposedly found no evidence of Manziel taking money for signing autographs, and barely slapped him on the wrist with a 1/2 game suspension for failing to prevent others from making money from his likeness.
