On Monday, April 18th, a US District Court judge struck down the CDC mass transit mask mandate. Three days later, in an interview with Kasie Hunt of CNN, Dr. Fauci furthered his qualifications for the more appropriate title of “Fuhrer Fauci”. Here’s part of what he said:
“Both surprised and disappointed. Because those types of things really are the purview of the CDC. This is a public health issue, and for a court to come in, and if you look at the rationale for that, it really is not particularly firm, and we are concerned about that, about courts getting involved in things that are unequivocally public health decisions. I mean, this is a CDC issue, it should not have been a court issue.”

Unsurprisingly, Fauci is claiming that the CDC should not be accountable to a court of law. He apparently believes that a small group of unelected partisan, corrupt bureaucrats should have the final say on what rules and regulations get forced upon the American people in pursuit of their narrow and oft-errant vision of the public health.
Fuhrer Fauci indeed.
Should we put that kind of power in the hands of unelected bureaucrats? Bureaucrats who have repeatedly proven their incompetence and political partisanship via their Covid response over the last couple of years?
They’ve promoted draconian lockdowns, which have multiplied the negative public health impact of Covid, as evidenced by how well areas did that didn’t lock down.
They’ve mandated the wearing of flimsy ineffective cloth masks, even forcing young children — who have nearly zero risk from catching Covid — to wear masks in school and elsewhere.
They’ve mandated people to be injected with an experimental inoculation, which is not a vaccination, and which has proven utterly ineffective at stopping the spread of Covid, and has a horrific track record of adverse events, while at the same time they’ve denied and covered up evidence that natural immunity is far superior. And they’ve even pushed the experimental injection on children for whom the risk of the injection far exceeds the risk of Covid.
They’ve promoted expensive pharmaceuticals with adverse side effects and shut down virtually all alternative therapies, including safe and effective drugs that are indicated for the effects of Covid and have been FDA approved for decades.
The list could go on.
It does not matter what the public health emergency is. The CDC absolutely should not have the authority to create rules and regulations and force them on the public, without the oversight of both Congress and the Courts.
